How This Cabinet Was Assembled
A small, independent guide for travellers who would rather know one place well than see twenty in passing.
The First Drawer
Tempopandaquestno began as a shared notebook among a few friends who kept arriving at famous places at the wrong moment, and finding the right moment somewhere just beyond. A ferry missed in Split became three days on Vis. A full hotel in Kyoto became an evening on the stepping stones at Demachiyanagi. Those notes grew into this cabinet.
The name is deliberately playful: tempo for the slower pace we champion, a quest for the places that reward patience.

How a Place Earns Its Drawer
- It has substance: history, landscape or culture worth the journey on its own terms.
- It can welcome visitors without strain, with local accommodation and transport.
- It is reachable without a private car wherever possible.
- Our facts are checked against official sources such as UNESCO listings, operators' timetables and national parks.
We revisit pages regularly and correct errors promptly. If you spot one, tell the contact desk.
